The National Winter Ales Festival 2017 will be held in Norwich. The iconic venue know as The Halls - also the venue for the Norwich Beer Festival that held its 39th Annual Beer Festival in 2016 where 18,000+ visitors enjoyed the Norwich experience.
We will be hosting the final of the Champion Winter Beer of Britain competition behind closed doors in the morning of 21st February 2017 with the category and overall winners being announced in the afternoon during the Press and Trade preview.
These events will be followed by a special CAMRA members only preview on the evening from 5:30 pm to 10.30pm. You will need your valid membership card to get in or you can join on the day!
General opening thereafter from 12 noon until 10:30 pm Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th.
As well as beers at the festival site, we will have special pub venues nearby in the city so can easily get there as well and to sample a few more festival beers there and experience the great Norwich pub culture as well of course. The Fringe as we are calling will run from Saturday 18th February to Saturday 25th.
Drinks
We will bring you a range of ale styles from golden to dark!
Our ale choosing panel are busy contacting brewers up and down the country to help them in their mission of sourcing ale from across the UK, with a view to ensure we have a truly national spread of real ales for you to enjoy.
The ales choice will reflect what we can get for you in Winter (some ales have been especially commissioned for the festival) and we will be spanning Mild, Bitters, Best Bitters, Strong Bitters, Golden Ales & Speciality Beers.
Please remember that the selection of all ales will naturally dwindle as the week progresses.
